Oração - Prayer

Hi friends!

Thanks!

Então vamos lá:

THIS WE BELIEVE (Nós cremos nisso)

Sign of the Cross (Sinal da cruz)

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Prayer Before Meals (Oração antes das refeições)
Bless O Lord this food.  Bless us, O Lord, and these Your gifts, which we are about to receive from Your bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
(Abençoa ó Senhor este alimento. Abençoa-nos, ó Senhor, e esses seus dons, que por recompensa estamos prestes a receber, por Cristo nosso Senhor. Amém.)

Angel of God (Santo anjo do Senhor)
Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom His love entrusts me here, ever this day be at my side to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

The Our Father (Lord’s Prayer)  (Pai Nosso)
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Glory Be to the Father (Glória ao Pai)
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Act of Contrition (Ato de Contrição)
O my God, I am heartily sorry for all my sins because I dread the loss of Heaven and I fear the pains of hell, but most of all, because they offend Thee, who art all Good and deserving of all my love. I firmly intend, with the help of Thy Grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to avoid what leads me to sin.

The Apostles Creed (O Credo dos Apóstolos – Oração do Credo – O Creio)
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Hail Mary  (Ave Maria)
Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Hail Holy Queen (Salve Rainha)
Hail, holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
(Verse) Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
(Response) That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

The Ten Commandments (Os 10 mandamentos)
God gave to Moses (Deus deu a Moisés)

I     I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not have strange gods before Me.
II    Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
Ill   Remember thou keep holy the Lords day.
IV   Honor thy father and mother.
V    Thou shalt not kill.
